How to get from Borispol airport to the centre of Kiev

The easiest way to get from the Borispol airport to the centre of Kiev is to take a taxi. But this is also one of the most expensive variant. Today I will tell you about one of the most cheapest and easiest way how to get to the centre of Kiev.

Borispol airport contain few terminals. One of the most used for international flights is Terminal D. For domestic flights and charters are used Terminals B and F. All terminals are connected with a free shuttle bus.

In front of the exit of the terminal D there is a bus station, where you can wait for a transfer bus, Skybus, which will deliver you to the Vokzalnaya metro station in Kiev. The bus departures every fifteen minutes. And the bus station just few meters far from the shuttle bus station, that is why important to pay attention and not to get to the shuttle bus instead of the transfer bus.

However, those, who arrived to terminals B and F will need to walk few meters straight to the parking place. There is a final stop of the shuttle Skybus.

The Skybus will deliver you from Borispol airport to the Vokzalnaya metro station. The station where you will need to get out from the bus is just in front of the entrance of the main railway station in Kiev. And you need to walk few meters on the left, where you can see the entrance to the underground tunnel.

You need to walk throw the tunnel and when you will get out, on the left will be The Vokzalnaya metro station. You can recognize it by the green letter M on the top of the building.

If you need to go to the most central street of Kiev, Khreschatyk street, you need to go just few station by metro (Vokzalnaya - Universitet - Teatralnaya - Khreschatyk) and get of the metro on the Khreschatyk station.

From the Kiev Zhulyany airport to city centre

It is always better to use public transport to get from the airport to the city centre, especially in Kiev, where taxi drivers are trying to get as much money they can from tourist and create absolutely fabulous prices.

Taxi from Zhulyany airport Kiev

Of course, there are some situations when you cannot go without taxi. In this case I advise you to ask someone local to help you and to call to the taxi service and call a taxi for you. It will be 5-6 times cheaper then take a taxi near the entrance of the airport.

One more variant is to use an application for mobile - UKLON (uklon.com.ua). With this application, you can call a taxi by yourself and choose all necessary additional options as a level of comfort etc. The application will show you the real price for your route. All what you must know, it is an address of your destination point and the airport.

In instance, if you want to go from Airport Zhulyany (Kiev airport), start to write "airport..." in the field with Address information, in the Place Form, and chose Airports "Zhulyany". If it is an international flight, write "Terminal A" in Note.

Fill in information about your destination point in the Destination Form below. And then choose all what you need in additional conditions. Below the block with conditions you can see a price.

How to get to the centre of Kiev from Zhulyany airport by public transport

If you don`t need to carry on a heavy baggage you can use a public transport to go to the city centre from the airport Kiev. There is a trolleybus station, just in front of the entrance of the airport. And here you can take a bus or trolleybus to get to the metro station. But if you need to go directly to the centre, take a trolleybus #9.

This is a legend about the ball. According to the legend it was a sea around the hill. And when st. Andrew came to Kiev and placed a cross on the top of the hill, the river hid inside the hill. And after the church was built on the hill a little spring appeared on a surface of the hill. And due to the legend, a sound of a ringing bell can wake up the sea and it will flood the Kiev.
