Free Walking Tours Kiev

Extraordinary beautiful ancient city Kiev, situated on five picturesquare hills and divided for two parts by the river Dniper. This two bangs named as the Right bang (praviy bereg) and the Left bang (leviy bereg). Planning a walking tour in Kiev you should put your attention on the Right bang. It is one of the best places for hiking. All ancient places, old churches, museums, central squares and streets are concentrated in this area.

In this part of Kiev you can find the area of an Old city. The ruins of two gates, entrance to the ancient Kiev, still possible to find. One of this gates is placed on the main square Maydan Nezalezhnosty. It`s name Lyadsky gate. Walking up on the street from this gate you can find the main, Golden gate, an ancient building with a small church on the top.

Hiking about 500 meters from the Golden gates you can also walk along the suqare between two old churches straight to the oldest street Andreevsky uzviz, that was the central street in the ancient Kiev. Now it is famous as a touristic place with a various number of souvenirs, art, handmade stuff and thousands wonderful things that you can bring with you as a memory of Kiev, or like a souvenir for your friends.
